BSP Certified by WBENC
TROY, Mich. — Bush Seyferth & Paige PLLC (BSP), a national litigation firm in Troy, today announced it has been certified into the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council – Great Lakes Certification Committee.
The WBENC, founded in 1997, is the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned, controlled and operated by women in the United States and is the nation’s leading advocate of women-owned businesses as suppliers to America’s corporations.
“While women are recognized as leaders in the field, law firms led by women are still the exception to the rule,” said Cheryl A. Bush, managing partner for BSP. “Certification by WBENC is important to the industry as a whole while validating our role within it—both for today and for opportunities tomorrow.”
WBENC Certification confirms that a business is 51 percent owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women. To achieve WBENC Certification, women owned businesses complete a rigorous, formal documentation and site visit process, which is administered by one of WBENC’s 14 Regional Partner Organizations. WBENC Certification gives women owned businesses the ability to compete for real-time business opportunities provided by WBENC Corporate Members.
