Bush Seyferth PLLC, a litigation boutique with offices in Michigan and Texas, seeks associates for its growing team. Though smaller than “big law” firms, BSP Law punches well above its weight, providing nationwide litigation services with trial skills second to none. Some of America’s best-known companies look to BSP Law for successful results in product liability litigation, complex business litigation, class actions, and appeals.

An associate filling our open position should have an interest in handling product liability cases, but will also have opportunities to work in BSP Law’s other trial litigation practice areas. Many of our attorneys have returned to working mostly in-office, but BSP Law has embraced a forward-looking hybrid in-person/remote environment. Depending on qualifications and role—and after initial onboarding—we will consider remote-first candidates.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2-6 years’ experience in civil litigation, including drafting pleadings, taking depositions, and arguing motions;
  • Deep thinker; efficient researcher; persuasive writer and speaker; and
  • Michigan or Texas Bar License (or ability to waive in).

Job duties include:

  • Identification and analysis of complex legal issues;
  • Drafting and responding to discovery requests (which requires gathering, organizing, and indexing large volumes of paper and electronic materials);
  • Drafting and responding to motions;
  • Taking depositions and assisting with preparation of witnesses for depositions;
  • Frequent communication with opposing counsel, experts, witnesses, and clients;
  • Frequent analysis of technical issues;
  • Analyzing engineering documents and various other file materials, and preparing these materials for electronic production; and
  • Responding to deposition notices (which includes proper objections, scope analysis, and definition).

Bush Seyferth PLLC is a boutique litigation firm with a national practice seeking to fill the role of a Legal Administrative Assistant. Job Duties:

  • Coordinate complex scheduling and extensive calendar management.
  • Organize emails and other case-related documents into case folders within the document management system.
  • Draft, edit, format, and finalize documents.
  • Organize and track case materials.
  • Maintain/update contact lists, distribution lists, and case lists.
  • Conduct conflict checks and initiate the necessary paperwork to open and close matters.
  • Assemble and maintain case organization documents, including to-do lists, master case spreadsheet, chronologies, etc.
  • Create case information sheets, notebooks, and deposition preparation notebooks, including exhibits for depositions.
  • Schedule depositions and deposition preparation sessions.
  • Request documents from clients.
  • Gather responsive documents from BSP database.
  • Draft correspondence to opposing counsel.
  • Send document production to opposing counsel.
  • Handle travel arrangements and submit expense reports.
  • Understand court requirements and prepare documents for filing with the court, including e-filings.
  • Organize and input attorney time utilizing the Firm’s time-entry software.
  • Create and maintain a listing of attorneys and client-specific information of items or tasks to be done to provide a high level of support.
  • Provide backup to other Legal Administrative Assistants and Receptionist as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of administrative assistant experience (legal preferred).
  • A high degree of discretion is required.
  • Proficient with office technology and conferencing equipment, specifically Zoom and Teams, and Microsoft Office software, including the ability to learn new software and procedures. Experience with Net Documents, SharePoint and OneNote a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize, show strong attention to detail, and work efficiently in a fast-paced work environment where strict deadlines are common.

An Accountant filling our open position requires a detail-oriented, personable self-motivator with excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and who takes pride in always producing top-quality work, but also likes to have fun with coworkers in a collegial environment.  The Accounting Specialist position requires someone who has the ability to multi-task and prioritize, has good judgement when it comes to analyzing data, and can work well as a team member and independently.  This position requires a highly organized, levelheaded individual that loves details and can execute quickly and accurately.

Job Duties Include:

Billing and Accounts Receivable

  • Prepares and distributes client invoices.
  • Reviews and edits pre-bills in response to attorney requests and verifies accuracy of billing and supporting documentation as required, uploading of invoices to electronic billing site in accordance with client billing guidelines.
  • Ability to manage a high volume of prebills and invoices.
  • Research, resolve and respond to inquiries regarding billing questions.
  • Follow-up on status of payment of outstanding invoices.

Accounts Payable:

  • Enter and maintain timely and accurate vendor and invoice information in system.
  • Process monthly credit card statements and enter in system.
  • Research, resolve and respond to inquiries regarding accounts payable and credit card questions.

Other Responsibilities Include:

  • A variety of other accounting and bookkeeping duties (as assigned).
    • Monthly client accrual entry

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or above in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • A minimum of 1 to 5 years of hands-on billing and accounts payable experience, law firm environment is a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Word, Excel at a high skill level, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with accounting software programs utilized in a service environment is a plus.
  • High level of comfort with technology, including the ability to learn new software and procedures quickly.

BSP Law, a leading boutique trial and litigation firm, is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to support and execute the firm’s marketing, communications, and brand initiatives while helping tell BSP’s story internally and externally. This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented marketer who enjoys turning ideas into polished deliverables, managing multiple projects, and collaborating closely with firm leadership. The Marketing Coordinator works directly with the Chief Marketing Officer and Marketing & Events Lead to support social media, digital content, branding, events, business development, and community engagement efforts. This role provides broad exposure to professional services marketing and the opportunity to build a strong portfolio while working alongside attorneys and clients, including Fortune 500 companies. 

This is a high-impact, hands-on role for someone who values creativity, precision, and communication—and who understands that thoughtful marketing strengthens relationships, builds credibility, and supports firm growth. 

This position is hybrid, based in BSP’s Troy, MI office, with a minimum of three days per week in the office. 

What You’ll Do 

Marketing Execution & Campaign Support 

  • Execute firmwide marketing initiatives and campaigns from concept through completion 
  • Manage marketing timelines, deliverables, and internal workflows using project management tools 
  • Support the creation of client facing marketing materials, presentations, and digital assets facing marketing materials, presentations, and digital assets 
  • Coordinate and execute email marketing campaigns, including content development, scheduling, and performance tracking using platforms such as Constant Contact 

Brand, Content & Communications 

  • Create visually compelling, on brand graphics and materials using Canva 
  • Support website updates, social media content creation, and digital communications 
  • Assist with award submissions, rankings, and firm recognition initiatives 
  • Ensure consistency of brand voice, messaging, and visual identity across all initiatives 

Events & Programming 

  • Plan and execute internal firm events and programs 
  • Support major external, charitable, and community events 
  • Coordinate conference participation, sponsorships, and related logistics 

Business Development Support 

  • Assist with proposal development, pitches, and business development materials 
  • Support attorney development initiatives and client engagement efforts

  • Maintain marketing calendars, systems, and databases (CRM/ERM platforms)

Job Description:

A marketing internship at BSP Law, will allow you to hone a wide variety of skills necessary for a marketing/communications career, provide an opportunity to build your portfolio, and expose you to a network of Fortune 500 clients. You will work with the Chief Marketing Officer and Marketing & Events Lead to assist in the firm’s social media content creation, website development, branding, event planning, business development, presentation creation, research, and charitable efforts. This position will be in-person at our office in Troy, MI.

Skills:

  • Must have excellent writing skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Must be a self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and/or Canva is preferred but not required.

Duties:

  • Assist with the management of the company website and social media.
  • Coordinate and execute email-marketing campaigns using Constant Contact.
  • Coordinate internal, external, and virtual events, including hosted seminars and receptions, speaking engagements, sponsorships, and in-house meetings (this may require occasional after-hour events).
  • Develop and execute yearly strategic marketing plans and campaigns in line with company objectives.
  • Draft and review copy/marketing messages for accuracy and relevance to the audience.
  • Create/design print ads, social media graphics, presentations, and additional marketing materials.
  • Perform research on a variety of topics, including legal trends, technology, and more.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Work hours/schedule: 15 – 20 hours/week (schedule will be determined upon hire- willing to accommodate school schedule)

Duration of Internship: Open for discussion, but would prefer a candidate seeking a long-term internship.
