BSP Files Brief on Behalf of the Home Builders Association of Michigan

BSP attorneys Mike Laramie, Stephanie Douglas, Justin Weiner and Andrea Carone recently filed an amicus curiae brief on behalf of the Home Builders Association of Michigan in an important insurance-coverage case before the Michigan Supreme Court.  The case asks the Supreme Court to decide whether the standard commercial general liability policy, commonly procured by residential builders and subcontractors throughout Michigan to protect them from liability claims, covers damage to a construction project caused by a subcontractor’s faulty workmanship.  The amicus brief and additional information regarding the case may be found on the Supreme Court’s website, https://courts.michigan.gov/Courts/MichiganSupremeCourt/oral-arguments/2019-2020/Pages/159510-1.aspx.
