The Diversity Committee of the Federal Bar Association of the Eastern District of Michigan, in collaboration with the Wolverine Bar Association and Lakeshore Legal Aid, will be hosting an upcoming D&I Panel — “Courageous Conversations: Sharing Stories and Building Understanding” — on Thursday, April 22, at 11:30am EST.
The program will give participants the opportunity to listen to friends and colleagues share their personal stories and learn from Al Vivian, CEO and President of Basic Diversity Inc.
Al Vivian is a nationally respected diversity consultant who has conducted Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training for many major clients, including the U.S. Army, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Ford, CNN, Atlanta Hawks, and Dupont, among others. His DEI trainings on how to be more inclusive leaders, avoid micro-aggressions, and engage in more thoughtful conversations regarding race consistently receive rave reviews from attendees, including a comment from Oprah Winfrey that Al had conducted a “brilliant seminar.”
