Bush Seyferth Attorney Heather Gin Elected President-Elect of the Detroit Bar Association Barristers

Bush Seyferth is proud to congratulate attorney Heather Gin on her election as President-Elect of the Detroit Bar Association (DBA) Barristers—the DBA’s section dedicated to new lawyers.

Historically, one of the Detroit Bar Association’s most active and service-oriented sections, the Barristers are committed to community engagement and service to the Bar.

The section provides new attorneys with meaningful opportunities to develop leadership skills, participate in community service projects, attend educational programming tailored to their practice areas, and connect with peers through networking events designed with new lawyers in mind.

Heather previously served as Board Secretary for the 2025–2026 Barristers Board. In her new role as President-Elect, she will also serve as an ex-officio member of the Detroit Bar Association’s Board of Directors—with full voting rights on matters before the DBA Board.

She will begin exercising her duties this September. Heather will then succeed to the role of President beginning June 2027.
