Gordon J. Kangas focuses his practice on Critical Motions & Appeals.
Prior to joining Bush Seyferth PLLC, Gordon practiced at a large Michigan law firm, and taught law and policy courses at Eastern Michigan University.
Gordon served as a law clerk for Judge Stephen J. Murphy, III of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan from 2016 to 2018, followed by a clerkship with Judge Ralph B. Guy, Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit from 2018 to 2020.
Gordon received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School where he also served as an Editor of the Michigan Journal of Gender & Law. He concurrently served as an intern to the chief justice of the Michigan Supreme Court. He earned a B.S. in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship from Eastern Michigan University

For the Community
Gordon volunteers as a Constitution Day presenter at public middle schools.
He has also served as pro bono representation of low-income people seeking unemployment benefits and of those seeking rental assistance.
