Michael Hanover focuses his current practice on product liability. He has emphasized his prior practice in high-stakes criminal litigation, complex homicide prosecution, and strategic legal counsel within fatality crash and homicide investigations. With experience across specialized divisions, Michael has first-chaired over 20 jury trials and supervised or second-chaired prosecutors in countless additional trials. Michael brings deep expertise in trial strategy, complex case management, and evidentiary experience specific to vehicular matters.
Before joining BSP Law, Michael served as Chief Prosecutor in the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, most recently in the Major Offenders Division. Over his tenure at the District Attorney’s Office, he served in multiple divisions including Homicide, Domestic Violence, Vehicular Crimes, and the Trial Bureau.
Prior to his career as an attorney, Michael was a legal intern at the U.S. Air Force Office of the Staff Judge Advocate and Clerked at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University, graduating summa cum laude and earning the Top Scholar Award from Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts.
Michael earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from University of California – Los Angeles. There, he was Chief Production Editor of the Criminal Justice Law Review and received multiple Masin Family Academic Awards.
