BSP’s Statement and Continued Fight Against Injustice

As lawyers and legal professionals, it is incumbent on us to support a legal system that is both fair and just. While we’ve made some headway in the fight for racial equality, there is still work to do.

In the face of injustice, BSP challenges our team to be champions for change and relentlessly pursue equality. We will continue to commit to educating our team through our diversity and inclusion initiatives. And we will continue to find new ways to expand our efforts.

BSP stands with our employees, communities, and clients. We believe Black Lives Matter. We support the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. We stand up for all historically underrepresented minorities. Together we can listen and learn, offer words and actions of support, and embrace and amplify the voices of those living in oppression.

As a commitment to our enduring dedication to equity and equal opportunity, BSP created the Joel Stern Scholarship to provide financial support to students from historically underrepresented backgrounds who contribute to the diversity of their law school student body as they pursue their legal career. Our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee works to facilitate networking and mentorship opportunities for diverse law students. In addition, BSP recently created the role of Professional Development and Diversity Director to drive the expansion of our initiatives.

We will continue to identify ways to leverage our unique platform and resources to uplift our community. We urge each of you to do the same.
