Heather C. Gin focuses her practice on product liability and commercial litigation.

  • Secured dismissal of a complex product liability lawsuit on behalf of a Fortune 500 circuit breaker manufacturer.
  • Drafted a Motion to Dismiss which ultimately lead to Plaintiff’s voluntary dismissal of a product liability claim.
  • Assisted with the settlement of a multi-million dollar birth trauma dispute involving a West Michigan Hospital.
  • Achieved total dismissal without payment for medical device supplier in alleged medical malpractice action.

Prior to joining BSP Law, Heather served as an associate at a regional Michigan law firm.

During law school, she served as a summer associate law clerk for a Northern Michigan law firm, and as a legal intern for the Grand Rapids City Attorney’s Office.

Heather received her J.D. from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2022. She received her B.A. in political science and international studies from the University of Michigan in 2018.

For the Community

During law school, Heather served as the Student Bar Association President. She was also a volunteer and the Director of Outreach for the Maurer Protective Order Project, where she conducted intakes of clients seeking protective orders. She also served as a student coordinator for the Indiana University Wills and Advanced Directives Program, where she drafted wills and other advanced directives from start to finish for low-income university-affiliated clients.

At the University of Michigan, Heather served as the Panhellenic President overseeing the operations of 17 sororities on campus with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. She has experience with community outreach having worked with multiple political campaigns and offices in Southeast Michigan.

In her free time, she enjoys teaching children competitive and recreational dance at a studio in Rochester, Michigan.
