BSP Law Joins Midsize Mansfield Rule
BSP Law is excited to announce that as part of our enduring commitment to sustaining a diverse and inclusive firm, we will be participating in the 2022-2023 mid-size firm cohort of The Mansfield Rule certification process. To be Mansfield Certified, BSP must consider at least 30% historically underrepresented lawyers for 60% or more of its qualifying leadership roles and activities.
The goal of the Midsize Mansfield Rule is to diversify law firm leadership by ensuring historically underrepresented lawyers including women, LGBTQ+ lawyers, lawyers with disabilities, and racial and ethnic minority lawyers are being considered for significant governance roles, entry-level and lateral openings, promotions within the firm, and opportunities to interface and connect with clients.
Associate Lena Gonzalez, Professional Development & Diversity Director and Chair of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee at BSP, and Katie Bryk, Marketing Director, will implement the program along with a committee of attorneys and staff.
“Here at BSP, we are passionate about our firm’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. That is why we are proud to be joining The Mansfield Rule for Midsize Law Firms. This is the next step in advancing our efforts to provide an inclusive and equitable environment for our attorneys and staff,” said BSP Member Amy Bice Larson, who also serves on the firm’s DE&I Committee.
