Dylan J. Goodwin focuses his practice on defending big name automobile manufacturers at a national capacity with a focus in product liability litigation. He also possesses extensive litigation experience in advanced technologies, E-Discovery Management, and various other types of catastrophic personal injury lawsuits. Dylan is committed to the mentoring, advancement, and support of diverse individuals. He serves as a member on BSP Law’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee.
- Represent manufacturers in state and federal courts throughout the country on catastrophic injury cases related to airbag, seatbelt, roof crush, and crashworthiness allegations.
- Represent major trucking manufacturer in multiple product-liability cases involving advanced driver-assistance features.
- Counsel for auto manufacturer in putative class action alleging fraud and warranty violations relating to transmission defect.
- Prepared and conducted numerous of 30(b)(6) depositions and expert depositions for major OEM clients.
- Assist major OEM client in preparing response to NHTSA safety investigation related to autonomous vehicles.
- Represented Tier 1 automotive supplier in breach of contract dispute and secured favorable settlement.
- Advised digital marketing company on investigations, including protections under the Federal Communications Commission and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
- Litigated on behalf of a small business to resolve contract dispute, while limiting legal costs.
Before joining Bush Seyferth PLLC, Dylan was an associate attorney at the Kitch Law Firm in Detroit, MI. At Kitch, Dylan handled high value commercial litigation cases and helped shield his clients from liability through aggressive discovery and dispositive motions.
Dylan received his J.D. from the Michigan State University College of Law, where he was a member of the distinguished Geoffrey Feiger Trial Practice Institute – finishing in the top of his class. In addition, Dylan was a Mock Trial Champion and finalist on the Major League Baseball Salary Arbitration Team. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Central Michigan University, where he played four years of Division 1 baseball.
